OHCHR Regional Office is calling for applications for a training-of-trainers (ToT) on treaty body reporting from Government officials from the English speaking Caribbean, Canada and USA . Thetraining will take place from 7 to 11 December in Barbados.
To be eligible to apply for the training, the applicant will have to meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. Have direct experience in reporting to human rights mechanisms in a Governmental structure;
2. Be a member of an existing National Standing Reporting and Follow-up Mechanism;
3. Based on their current contractual situation, be involved in engagement with human rights mechanisms within the Government for a minimum of two years.
Only Government officials from the following countries, or with specific expertise in one or more of the following countries, are eligible to apply for this training:
Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, St Vincent & Grenada, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, USA.
